CARBS: THE TYPES
Carbs come predominantly from three food groups: fruits, vegetables, and grains. It is very important to understand that grains are not our only source of carbohydrates. Carbs have such a bad wrap, but they include our healthiest foods!
CARBS: WHY WE NEED THEM
Because we all love bakeries, right? I know I do! So let’s talk about carbs — one of the three macros. I want to use this time to clear up this information, and stop the fear and carb-hatred once and for all.
LET’S TALK ABOUT MACROS
Macros is one of those topics I am sure you’ve heard of before — maybe when you were trying to lose weight, build muscle, or just understand more about the food you’re putting into your body. If not, that’s okay too, because we are going to go into all of those important details in the next series of blog posts!

Happy official first month of fall! October is the start of my absolute favorite season for so many reasons — big sweaters, bonfires, and a time where we slow down and gather with family and friends much more. Oh and of course all the delicious food that comes with it! As a dietitian, I recognize that this is typically the most stressful time of year for my clients — so many holiday parties, family functions, and events ALL surrounded by decadent foods and desserts. I’m here to tell you that this season and this time can 100% still be enjoyed, and the food can still be decadent, we just have to shift the way we cook and bake a little, and shift the way our minds think of food.

WHAT ARE ESSENTIAL OILS, AND WHY DO WE CARE?
When you are ingesting or applying something that is synthetic, your body processes it as a toxin, therefore it becomes harder to break down or can be stored in fat cells. These types of synthetic oils work against your body. This is where Water and the Well comes into play.
